How to set up judges for your competition

Set up Flowstate accounts for judges

This is because the accounts must exist in the Flowstate database to be searchable when assigning the judges.

  1. Ensure all club judges have created a Flowstate user account first
  2. If you intend on using generic judge devices, simply setup generic judge account (e.g., judge1@clubname.com, headjudge@clubname.com)
  3. Navigate to the Competition Dashboard → Configure Judges.
  4. Configure the specialised roles for the scoring panel.

Judge Roles:

  • Head Judge: Has the ability to apply score modifiers (Interference/Double Whammy) and must approve scores if the score approval is on.
  • Judge: Standard scoring access.

Judge Features:

  • Judge Console: Judges must log in and then navigate to the competition and hit "Judge Console"
  • The Flowstate Scoring Method (Timestamps): To integrate video footage with scores, the Head Judge or spotter must press the corresponding colour "+" button the moment the surfer gets up. This will help link the processed media to the score
