How to film your competition

Here are the steps to filming your Competition with an iPhone:

1. Download the Flowstate app from the App Store.
2. Make sure you are logged in and have an active Flowstate Pro subscription.
3. In the app, navigate to the + button.
4. Select "Record a session".
5. Select the competition name that you are setting up to capture.
6. If the competition has the multiple banks setup, select the bank you are capturing.
7. Set up your iPhone on a tripod or e-bike mount.

To setup Guided Access:

Guided Access locks your device to the Flowstate app and is useful if you plan to leave your device unattended, to prevent anyone from exiting and access other apps.

1. Go to settings -> Accessibility -> Guided Access.
2. Turn on Guided Access and set a passcode.
3. Open this app and triple-click the side button.
4. Tap "Start" to enable Guided Access.

To start filming:

1. Click "Start recording".

To exit Guided Access:

Triple-click the side button and enter your passcode.

Filming Tips:

• We recommend framing the bank down the line and capturing the majority of where the start -> end of surfing will happen
• Consider the light to avoid glare, for example set up filming from down the beach to avoid reflections off the water. If you can't see the surfers, the camera won't be able to either.
